Ketubot
Mazel tov!
If you are preparing to have a ketuba written for you, you find yourself in an exciting moment in your life. A ketuba is a document that marks the beginning of a Jewish committed partnership. It may be traditional in its content, or innovative, capturing the story of your love and the values you commit to. The heavens (and your officiant) are the limit.
I have written ketubot for Jewish and interfaith couples of all genders, across the spectrum of Jewish practice. Some couples come to me knowing exactly what they’d like their text to say, and some are starting from scratch. Wherever you are in your process, I am happy to help. I have a collection of existing texts to share with you, which you are welcome to use as your own, or as inspiration to create something bespoke.
I write my ketubot in Hebrew/Aramaic/Yiddish on klaf (animal parchment) with diyo (traditional scribal ink) using a kulmus (turkey feather quill), the materials traditionally used by Ashkenazi scribes.
My ketubot are priced starting at $850, and I require a 3-month period to complete work. Rush pricing may be available.
Whether you call it a ketuba, a shtar, or a brit ahuvim, I will create a document which is the perfect fit for you and your partner.
